Jeff Phelps

Jeff Phelps is loved by musicians and music lovers for his idiosyncratic sense of orchestration, plaintive lyricism and line.

His career began with 1985's self-recorded "Magnetic Eyes" LP. A sought after album, its range of expression and sensitivity, inventive harmonic and songwriting structure are unique and rarely heard in modern soul, let alone music recorded with only 4 tracks to spare.

Since then he has been a creative force in a number of projects, including gospel trio Phelps Blount Burris, Two Souls, Next Level Band and Porterfield Rose, all exceptional for their emphasis on sincerity, expression and beauty.
